The 2017 Notice of Race and Chicago Mac Safety Requirements have been released and are available for download under "Race Documents."

The Mac Committee re-wrote the 2017 CMSRs to make them as consistent as possible with the numbering and language of the USSERs.

Al and Bob Declercq’s Flying Buffalo won the Mackinac Trophy Division of the 108th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac presented by Wintrust. Flying Buffalo is now a four-time winner. Al and Bob are the sons of the designer and first owner of the boat. They previously won the race overall in 1966, 1967 and 1969.

WET N’ WILD NIGHT LEADS TO HIGH SPEED MORNING Turbo Fleet & Multihulls excel in stormy conditions The 108th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac presented by Wintrust has been a wet and wild ride for both Racing and Cruising Divisions.
 
The Cruising Division left Friday, July 22 at 3 p.m. The forecast called for very little pressure at the bottom of Lake Michigan, but the fleet has not stalled out yet. Joseph Haas’ Hanse 630e, Infinite Diversion, is sticking almost right on the rhumb line and clipping along 15 miles ahead of the Cruising 1 Section leaders Perico.
 
The Cruising Division of the 108th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac presented by Wintrust took off for Mackinac Island at 3:00 P.M. today. Forty-two boats started in a scorching 90 degrees and five knots of wind from the northeast.

With 326 boats participating in the 333-mile journey from Chicago to Mackinac Island this year, the 108th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac, presented by Wintrust will offer plenty of opportunities for fans to view the boats on land, on the water and from anywhere else you might be.
