Request for Invitation

Welcome Aboard!

You are cordially invited to submit your Request For Invitation to the 2010 Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac using the on-line application below. (NOTE: You are not required to submit a Request if you have competed one of the previous four Mac races as the "Invited Competitor" - you will automatically be considered for invitation.)

Before you begin, please review the "Seamanship & Safety Skills Checklist" and the "RFI Procedure Guide". All required details (indicated by "*") must be completed before your Request for Invitation will be considered. While some information, including a current rating certificate, is not required at this stage, it will be required to complete your registration if you are issued an Invitation by the Selections Committee. We encourage you to be as complete as possible in your initial submission.

The Selections Committee is particularly interested in your experience and that of your principal crew that will be aboard your vessel. We urge you to be especially thorough and complete when entering the Crew Experience section of the Request.

Your correct email address is very important. All information about your Request, Invitation and the Race will be sent via email so make sure it is always current and accurate. We will send you an email receipt immediately upon your initial save of your profile. If you do not receive a welcoming email within a few hours, please check your email spam folder and filter settings.

The Selections Committee will review your completed request soon after you have submitted it and will contact you if they need any additional information to evaluate your request. We anticipate Invitations will be issued to requestees beginning in mid-February. If you have not received an emailed Invitation by the date specified in the Notice and Conditions of Race, please contact the Race Coordinator at 312-861-7771 or via email at: racecoordinator@chicagoyachtclub.org.
