At the east end of Navy Pier, watch the competitors motor by as they check in with the Race Committee and then head out to the starting area. Parking is available at Navy Pier.
11:30am – 3:00pm Start of the 103rd Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac
Sunday, July 17, 2011 – Grand Hotel
5:30pm – 7:30pm Grand Porch Party presented by Veuve Clicquot
Sip Veuve Clicquot champagne or a cocktail while enjoying the majestic views of the Straits of Mackinac from the porch of the Grand Hotel.
Tickets are for sale at the CYC Monroe Station Front Desk and also at the party for $40 each. Cocktail Party – 21 years and older. Ladies in their finest; coat and tie required for gentlemen. Ticket must be presented for entry.
5:15pm – 8:00pm Children’s Party – Grand Hotel Lower Level
hildren have a kid friendly meal, view the movie Shrek 3, and are chaperoned at all times.
(Children must be self-sufficient - feed and go to the bathroom themselves.) Cost is $35 per person.
Reservations are required by July 12th.

Tuesday, July 19, 2011 – Grand Hotel Tea Garden
2:00pm – 6:00pm 103rd Race to Mackinac Sailor’s Celebration Bars will be open from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Awards presented. Skippers will receive one party ticket for each crew member that is exchanged for three free drinks. Additional drinks for skippers, crew or guests without a ticket can be purchased at a cash bar.
Food will also be available for purchase. A great party!
2:00pm – 4:00pm Activities for the Kids – Stop by the Family Area where children can enjoy several outdoor activities. Children 14 years and under can make their own "brag flag" that they may keep (while supplies last).
This event is free and no reservations are required. Children must be under their parents supervision at all times.
Wednesday, July 20, 2011 1:00pm Last Call for all boats to leave!
(Unless you have a prearranged reservation with the Michigan DNR)
10:00am Chartered busses for trip back to Chicago, departing from Arnold Ferry Dock, Mackinaw City. (Tickets must be purchased in advance – see website for details) Chicago events are on Central Daylight Time and Island events are on Eastern Daylight Time.
