Mac sailor profiles now include historical data to 2008

With a history as long as the CYC Race to Mackinac, the Mac committee fields a lot of questions about what happened years ago. Questions like "I crewed on a boat back in 2012 but I don’t remember the name" or "I cannot remember where we finished in 2013" come up often but have been hard to answer! New for 2019, we are excited to announce that the historical results for sailors, skippers, crews, and boats are now available directly through the Mac website.
Historical information can be found either in a competitor’s crew page, or by searching under "About the Race > Current Entries.
" From there, boat history, invited competitor history and crew member histories are available by clicking on the name of the person or boat.
There are a few important caveats to the crew history feature. Almost no historical data exists in digital form from before 2005, when the current online registration system was adopted. Starting in 2005, some historical data are available for boats and competitors. Starting in 2010, we have data available for crew, as this was the year when individual crew members started completing profiles as part of registration. Keep in mind that the data are only as good as that entered by the competitors, so there may be some duplication and error involved. If it's not on the website, we don't have the data
So, if you’d like to take a walk down memory lane, go check it out - current entries can be found here
. Re-live your past glories, solve that bar bet ("No - I’m sure we finished 3rd in Section 8 in 2013") or check out the history of the boat you’re racing on this summer.
